Where can I preview the application form?

Firstly, make sure you have registered and logged into the VicHealth Stakeholder Portal. Locate the ‘Current Opportunities’ page, then look for the Impact Research Grants option. Click the ‘Apply Now’ button to the right of this option, and then at the next page, click ‘Print’ (at the top right of your screen) to view a full preview of the application form.
Will I receive feedback on my application if unsuccessful?

VicHealth Impact Research Grants are extremely competitive, and we receive far more eligible applications than can be funded. Due to such high volumes, generalised feedback will be provided on notification to unsuccessful applicants; however, we are unable to provide individualised feedback.

We are unable to provide advice or feedback on your research proposal and answers to questions in the application form, however we can clarify the intention of the grant rounds and the outcomes they are trying to achieve.

What funding is available?

VicHealth Impact Research Grants will provide up to $200,000 in funding over 2 years for a maximum of 5 projects. This means that VicHealth will provide up to $200,000 in funding per project over 2 years.
Can I have more than 5 academic team members?

Yes, you can have more than 5 academic team members. However, we only require details of the main 5 for the application form to keep the application length to a minimum.
What are the word limits for the project detail components of the application form?

The word limits for each of the sections are:
- Executive Summary: 350 words
- Research project rationale, objectives and methods: 800 words
- Partnerships: 200 words
- Research project benefit, impact, and scale: 400 words
- Viability (specifically project budget rationale): 300 words.
