Encouraging regular physical activity is one of five strategic imperatives in the VicHealth Action Agenda for Health Promotion. VicHealth recognises the many health benefits that an active lifestyle can provide. The evidence summary draws upon the best available evidence and expert opinion, while recognising the challenges in measuring physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
